NOTES: 1) Schools can qualify to participate in FMBC Semi-Finals under the FMBC Exception Rule by performing at an FMBC standstill event if they achieve a score of 42 or more (maximum score at a standstill event is 60, heavily weighted towards music performance). This applies to all size classes. See the FMBC 'Rules and Regulations' page for more information. 2) Shows marked 'Approved' have been approved by the FMBC Regional Show Coordinator and the FMBC Board of Directors. However signed contracts are not yet on file at the FMBC Office and/or show fees have not been received. 3) Shows marked 'Confirmed' have been approved by the FMBC Regional Show Coordinator and the FMBC Board of Directors, fees are paid, and the show host contract(s) are on file. 4) The Merritt Island Show has grown in size and therefore will now offer a full six person primary caption judging panel rather than its historic four person primary caption judging panel to its participating bands. 5) Note that the Pace show and the Crystal River shows, originally scheduled for October 27th, will not be held in 2012 and has been given a one-year leave of absence.

DIRECTORS: DO YOU DREAM ABOUT COMING TO FLORIDA? WELL, COME ON DOWN! Our highly trained clinicians and adjudicators can provide a valuable educational experience for your students, no matter where your home is located! Of course, bands from other states cannot qualify for or participate in FMBC Semi-Finals and FMBC Finals (except as guest bands), but all of our Regional Competitions are open to bands from all over the country - bands who would like to make a trip to enjoy the warm winter climate in our state and perhaps visit one of our Central Florida Theme Parks or the beautiful and historic areas in Florida. If your high school band (or college band as a guest band) would like to participate in one of our shows, just contact any show host listed on the right side of this page. Then when the time comes, pack up and head south!! |
